Meeting with Piotr Paziński - 18 May 2013 @ Warsaw Book Fair

4th Warsaw Book Fair at the National Stadium, hall London C

Professor Anna Nasiłowska, valued author, literature critic, and member of the national jury of the European Union Prize for Literature in 2012, will talk about the importance of the Prize in promoting emerging writers, and about the Prize itself, its aim and its rules.

At the meeting, Piotr Paziński, Polish winner of the Prize in 2012, will present his newest book Ptasie ulice, about the lost tradition of Jewish Warsaw, about absence and departing from relatives. In his book, he manages to create piercing metaphors of the Jewish fortune by presenting a connection to today's Warsaw through the use of biblical parables.
