Cyprus event with 2016 winner Antonis Georgiou confirmed for the 8th of December

Antonis Georgiou, Cypriot winner of the European Union Prize for Literature in 2016, will celebrate his victory in his homeland on the 8th of December, 2016. The author, who also works as a lawyer, magazine editor and playwright, will welcome literature fans of the country in the Soloneion Book Center in Nicosia.

The event will start with a keynote speech by philologist Lefteris Papaleontiou, after which discussions between the author and three other guests (two authors and the Serbian translator of Mr. Georgiou's book) will follow. Participants will than have the chance to exchange a quick word with the author and to have their copies of his book "An Album of Stories" (Ένα αλμπούμ ιστορίες) signed by him.
