Çiler İlhan & Ófeigur Sigurðsson at Antwerp Book Fair

On Saturday, 10 November from 14:00 to 15:00, two European Union Prize for Literature (EUPL) laureates will participate in an event at the Oranje Podium of the Antwerp Book Fair.

Çiler İlhan, 2011 winner from Turkey, will read excerpts from her EUPL-winning book Sürgün (Exile), which was published in Dutch under the title Verbannen by Uitgeverij De Geus.

Ófeigur Sigurðsson, 2011 winning author from Iceland and a current resident of Antwerp, will read from the new English translation of his latest book Oraefi (The Wasteland).

In addition, the two authors will participate in a discussion on their experiences with the EUPL, the Prize’s 10th anniversary as well as the benefits of translation.
