The winner of the 2020’s edition of The European Union Prize for Literature, Lana Bastašić, is participating this November at Two Owls Writers-in-Residence in Timișoara. Lana Bastašić will live for a month in Timișoara and will write her new novel. She will also have interviews and an author singing session to meet her readers.
The Two Owls Literary Residency, the first literary residency in Timişoara, aims to promote, encourage and support contemporary Romanian and foreign literary works and contemporary literature by offering grants that cover the round-trip, one month’s accommodation costs in Timişoara and the artist’s fee for four contemporary artists. The residency aims to promote contemporary works at a national and international level, thus encouraging the writers’ mobility and their projects.
The Portuguese writer José Luís Peixoto and the Romanian writers Marius Chivu and Florin Iaru are also joining this year’s edition.
