On 5 October at LIBER Book Fair (Spain), Jacobo Bergareche (Spain, EUPL 2022) and Benito Burgos (legal representative of the Creative Europe Office in Spain) will discuss the added value that publishing in Latin America brings to European authors and the role that EUPL can play, in anticipation of the Guadalajara Book Fair (November 25 to December 3) where the European Union will be the guest of honor. The 2023 EUPL Anthology called "European stories" presents the 13 EUPL authors from 2023 and excerpts from their nominated books in their original languages and translated into English.

On 17 August 2023, an event with this year’s EUPL Special Mention Iida Rauma took place at Akateeminen Bookshop in Helsinki. Within the scope of ‘Helsingin Kirjojen Yössä’, the event will celebrate Iida Rauma’s success and her EUPL-awarded novel Hävitys (Destruction).

The European Union Prize for Literature (EUPL) recognises emerging fiction writers from the European Union and beyond. Engaging the 41 countries participating in the Creative Europe programme of the European Union, the Prize celebrates 41 outstanding new literary talents across a cycle of three years. Spotlighting the creativity and the diverse wealth of Europe’s contemporary literature in the field of fiction, EUPL aims to encourage the circulation of literature within Europe and encourage greater interest in non-national literary works.
On 7 March 15:00 at BolognaBookPlus, side programme of the Bologna Children’s Book Fair, the names of the 13 nominated books for the European Union Prize for Literature 2023 will be revealed.
Come and discover the spotlighted authors, who will showcase the diverse wealth of Europe’s contemporary literature in the field of fiction, and promote the circulation of non-national literary works beyond linguistic borders.
